The released game is single-player. Steam lists Single-player; PlayStation lists one player, and Nintendo lists one player on a single system. There is no advertised online co-op, local co-op, split-screen or cross-platform multiplayer mode in these official listings.

Helpers are not co-op players
As the Grand Inquisitor, you still manage a graveyard, but also restore the Town, automate production and lead an undead army into battle. The official description includes fortifications, crafted weapons and armour, and zombie labour. Those workers are game-controlled helpers, not additional human players.
Future multiplayer plans
The October 2 development update discusses balance, workstations, zombie helpers and other improvements. It does not announce a multiplayer release date. Requests from players are not a confirmed feature roadmap, and an unverified mod is not an official supported mode.
Using your NPC workforce
Focus on Automation If you are feeling overwhelmed by the workload in Graveyard Keeper 2, remember that the game is designed to be automated. Use your zombies to handle the heavy lifting while you focus on the story and high-level strategy.
