Graveyard Keeper 2 on Steam Deck: Performance and Playability

The current Steam store page lists Graveyard Keeper 2 as Steam Deck Verified and includes full controller support. The previous “Unknown” status is outdated. Verified is a compatibility classification, not a promise of a locked 60 FPS, a fixed battery life or an identical experience in every late-game scene.

Practical handheld checks

Start with the current stable SteamOS and game updates. Check text readability, controller prompts and a busy part of your own save before choosing a frame limiter. A lower limit can be an experiment for battery use, but no particular 30/40/60 FPS setting is certified here. Do not use the desktop GPU requirements as a measured Deck benchmark.

Save data and platform boundaries

Steam Cloud is listed, but wait for synchronization to finish before changing devices and confirm which save is newer if a conflict appears. Demo-to-full transfer is officially confirmed; it does not remove the need to protect the original save or establish console cross-save.
